About OpenPowerMap
The OpenStreetMap (OSM) database contains a lot of information about power plants around the world, but it is far from complete.
Sometimes however, official data is available under an open license and could be used for helping OSM editors improve coverage. For example, Germany’s official power plant database Marktstammdatenregister is allowed for use in OSM.
This mapping project aims to bring together various data sources to help OSM mappers. It’s still in an early stage.
